AIGA Chattanooga teams up with the AIA for “Canstruction”

AIGA Chattanooga is helping to sponsor 2010’s Canstruction event:
The 2010 unCANventional Ball is coming February 20th! Celebrating art and architecture, local middle school students, architects, and engineers will partner to create structures using canned foods that will then be donated to the Chattanooga Area Foodbank.

We’re looking for AIGA members who would like to volunteer to help one of six teams designing and installing structures with architects and students. Teams have begun design concepts and the  CAN committee will be reviewing and recommending modifications this week. Please let us know as soon as possible if you'd like to volunteer to help a team...

If you’re interested, please email your president Paul Rustand at: rustand@widgetsandstone.com

This year’s theme is "Can-servation" and participating architects are AEED, Artech, Elemi, March Adams & Associates, River Street Architecture and
Neuhoff Taylor Architects. Schools particpating are Red Bank Middle School, East Hamilton Middle School, CSLA, Tyner Middle, Signal Mountain and Lookout Valley Middle.

We’d love to have you participate in a great event for a great cause!

How to keep your AIGA membership up to date

Did you know that most people whose AIGA memberships have lapsed don't even know it? Make sure you stay current. AIGA needs you, and you won't want to miss out on upcoming events.

It's easy to stay up to date. Here's what you can do:

  1. To renew online, visit the membership renewal page at www.aiga.org and follow the prompts. If you've changed your email address since you were active, or cannot log in, contact our relentlessly cheerful membership co-chairs Josiah Roe for help.

  2. Fax or mail: Download the membership form, and fax or mail it to the AIGA office.

  3. Or just call the AIGA office to renew by phone.

Or, if you need a reminder of how AIGA is expanding the value of your career, contact Paul Rustand and tell your receptionist to hold your calls. This dude knows his stuff.
